Day 0 HA NOI - HA GIANG
21h00: The tour guide will welcome guests at the Meditours Ha Giang office or the designated meeting point and board the bus for the journey to Ha Giang.
Guests will spend the night on the car. For those traveling to Ha Giang from Ho Chi Minh City, please take a flight and land at Noi Bai Airport before 18h00.
Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport just before the scheduled departure time, guests will be picked up by a night bus at the Kim Anh – Noi Bai intersection (2.3 km from the airport).
Day 1HA GIANG - YEN MINH - DONG VAN (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
04h30 AM: Welcome to Ha Giang. The tour guide will pick up the group and take them to the local homestays for rest and personal hygiene in the morning.
06h30 AM: The tour guide will pick up the guests for a motorcycle ride to have breakfast and depart to the core area of the Global Geopark, the Dong Van Karst Plateau. Here, guests can admire the scenery and take photos.
  • Visit the Northern Heart Slope, an 8 km long slope for photography and sightseeing.
  • Visit Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate.
  • Stop for photos at the Lonely Nghien Tree in Can Ty, Quan Bạ.
  • Tham Ma Slope: Also known as the “Horse Evaluation Slope,” located at the entrance of Dong Van district.
Noon: Lunch at Yen Minh Restaurant.
Afternoon: The group continues to visit some famous landmarks in the itinerary:
  • Chin Khoanh Slope: Admire and take photos on the famous slope in Hà Giang.
  • Lung Cam Cultural Village: Chosen location for filming popular TV shows such as “Pao’s Story” and “Silently under the Abyss.” The group visits Pao’s house and takes photos of seasonal flowers in the room considered the most beautiful on the plateau.
  • Ho Vuong King’s Palace: Also known as the Hmong King’s Palace. The group will learn about the architecture, art, history, and culture of the Hmong royal lineage and the local people.
  • Lung Cu Flagpole: The final destination of the day is the Lung Cu Flagpole, the northernmost point of the country that everyone wishes to visit at least once in their life. The group will learn about the cultural history of the “land’s perennial border” and the process of building and preserving the flagpole, protecting every inch of the borderland of the ethnic minorities in the far north.
Evening: Enjoy the specialties of Ha Giang with the renowned Black Chicken Hot Pot, stroll through Dong Van Old Quarter, have coffee… Overnight in Dong Van.
Day 2DONG VAN - MA PI LENG - NHO QUE RIVER - DU GIA (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
Morning: Enjoy a famous breakfast with Dong Van Rolled Rice Pancakes, then begin the journey to explore the remaining destinations on the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
  • Dong Van Market: Explore the ancient streets and market of Dong Van, a place with centuries-old history. Visit the Dong Van Market to learn more about the highland market culture.
  • Ma Pi Leng Pass: Known as one of the four most magnificent passes in Vietnam, Ma Pi Leng Pass is also the most beautiful and majestic of the “Four Great Northern Passes.” The pass stretches 21 km, connecting the Dong Van and Meo Vac districts.
  • Boat trip on the Nho Que River – Explore Tu San Gorge: Cruise on the Nho Que River. Originating from the Seo Lung village, Lung Cu town, Dong Van district, the river flows through the Tu San Gorge, then follows the Ma Pi Leng Pass, eventually reaching Cao Bang province. Considered the deepest mountain gorge in Southeast Asia, Tu San Gorge is situated in a uniquely geological valley in Vietnam. (Self-payment required)
  • Tu San Gorge exudes a romantic and mysterious beauty, like a mythical emerald thread hidden amidst the treacherous mountains and forests in the Northeast.
Afternoon: Have lunch in Meo Vac, then continue exploring the beautiful routes to reach Du Gia.
6h00 PM: The guide will take you to Du Gia Ban Tien village. Enjoy a warm dinner in the homestay and engage in cultural exchange with the local ethnic community.
Day 3DU GIA - LUNG TAM VILLAGE - HA GIANG - HA NOI (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
07h00 AM: Enjoy breakfast at the homestay and have free time to explore Tham Luong waterfall in Du Gia. Experience bathing in the Tham Luong waterfall. Visit the Tho Cam Lung Tam weaving village: learn about the cultural aspects of Mông people’s linen weaving and participate in the 41-step process of creating a linen product. Guests are welcome to wear traditional costumes, providing a great opportunity for souvenir photos.
Explore the Double Fairy Mountain (Nui Doi Co Tien): This mountain has become a distinctive feature of the local natural landscape, symbolizing the beauty of maternal love and pride of the people in the Dong Van Karst Plateau. Visitors to Hà Giang cannot miss the stunning scenery of the Double Fairy Mountain. Capture memorable photos to cherish the beauty of the landscape.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch and then return to Hà Giang by car.
4h00 PM: The next morning, return to Hanoi, concluding the fascinating journey of exploring Ha Giang.

Tips for drivers and guides:
  • Not mandatory but usually, for Vietnamese tourists, it’s around 150,000 VND/per person
  • Tips for foreign guests: Minimum 5$/day x 3 days = 15$

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Customers must bring valid personal documents (ID card or passport)
  • It’s advisable to bring insect repellent, common cold medicine, or any prescribed medications
  • Vegetarians are advised to bring their vegetarian food to ensure their preferences are met
  • Unused services during the tour are non-refundable
  • The guide has the right to rearrange the order of sightseeing for each day according to specific departure conditions, ensuring all attractions in the program are covered.
  • In cases where there are fewer than 6 passengers on the departure date, the driver may also act as the guide. These drivers are experienced, familiar with the route, and knowledgeable about local culture.
  • As it is a mountainous tour, it is recommended not to bring bulky or excessive luggage. A backpack is preferable over hard suitcases.
  • There are options for homestay experiences to enhance the mountain tour. Customers are advised to bring personal items for use during the homestay if deemed necessary.
  • At the end of the tour, customers will be dropped off at a single point, the Hanoi Opera House. Customers are responsible for taking a taxi back to their hotel or residence.
(*) General note on local hotel services: For mountainous routes, we classify hotel ratings as follows. The rating is relative to service classification.
  • Homestay: Typically a local house, often a stilt house, with communal sleeping arrangements and shared bathroom facilities.
  • 1-star hotel: Mini hotels and guesthouses.
  • 2-star hotel: Medium-sized hotels, locally rated 2 stars.
  • 3-star hotel: Beautiful hotels in the area or rated according to local standards.
  • 4-star hotel: Outstanding hotels in the region.
  • 5-star hotel: Hotels that must meet standardized rating criteria.

TOUR PRICE FOR CHILDREN

  • Age is calculated from the birthdate to the departure date.
  • Children aged 10 and above: Charged at 100% of the adult price.
  • Children aged 5 to 9: Charged at 75% of the adult price – sharing a bed with parents.
  • Children under 5: Free of charge (sleeping with parents, any additional costs for sightseeing tickets, and parents’ meals for the child are the responsibility of the parents). The company only collects a portion of the airfare (if any) according to the regulations of the airlines.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

A- GENERAL DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
1/ Deposit policy to reserve a spot
  • To officially secure a spot and receive clients, a deposit equivalent to 40% of the tour value is required.
  • The remaining amount must be paid to Meditours 15 days before the client’s reserved departure date.
2/ Cancellation policy by clients
  • If clients cancel the tour more than 15 days before the departure date, they will be penalized with an early cancellation fee equivalent to the deposit (40% of the tour value).
  • If clients cancel the tour within 7 days of the departure date, they will be penalized with a late cancellation fee equivalent to the entire tour value (100% of the tour value).
3/ Cancellation policy by the organizing unit
  • The tour will depart as scheduled if there are at least 01 adult passenger.
  • If the group is less than 01 person, Meditours will arrange a new departure date and notify clients at least 15 working days before the departure date. If clients do not agree with the new departure date, they will receive a refund of the deposit.
  • If Meditours cannot organize the tour at the expected time due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, floods, war, etc., Meditours will arrange a new departure date, and any additional costs will be agreed upon by both parties.
